Delicious Curried Sausages for when you need cheap but yummy savoury dish but don’t want to spend all day cooking. Though they’re irresistible enough to eat on their own, serve them over rice with some steamed veggies for one of the most flavorful and kid-friendly meals out there.

2. Use them to Make Frugal Sausage Casserole


I couldn’t resist the opportunity to experiment with Honey-flavoured sausages in my cooking and I highly recommend using them in my recipe for Frugal Sausage Casserole. They taste so good! If you’re looking for a low-cost alternative then thin beef sausages are just as tasty and can be frozen too.

3. Add Leftover Sausages to Fried Rice


If you have some leftover sausages from the barbecue last night – and don’t want to waste them – then chop them up and add them to a simple Fried Rice recipe! If you fry up the sausages pieces first – they caramelize all over and it adds loads of flavour!

4. Cut up Your Sausages and Add to a Risotto


Risotto is so good in Winter, we make it a lot as it is so filling. But instead of using your usual different types of protein, add your chopped up leftover sausages. The kids will devour it!

This is a meal I had regularly as a kid! Mum would take sausages (cooked or leftover) and wrap them in a quarter square of puff pastry. Just delicious – even better cold the next day!
