Hazel and Kevin have a rotational deformity between their tibiotarsus and tarso-metatarsus (not splaying). The hobbling used for splaying does not bring the affected joints in the right position. Our avian vet had us use washcloth “bumpers”, but that did not work. They keep wriggling out. So far the cups seem to keep their legs in a better position. Kevin has good grasp with both feet and can do assisted perching on my finger. Both actually have good foot grasp.
