How They Met
A classic tale of childhood friendship-to-love, Surat-based Meet and Alka’s story goes back 20 years. As close family friends, they had literally grown up together in every sense of the word. From silly fights to landmark moments, they saw it all, the good, bad and the ugly, and they knew that they were meant to be with each other, forever. Their families were overjoyed and ecstatic when they shared their decision to take it to the next level and started planning for their dream wedding with great aplomb.
Wedding Planning
The couple chose the sprawling party venue of Vrundavan Farms & Residences to host most of the Pre-wedding and wedding functions, while the common open area of their society was the ideal location for intimate soirees like Haldi and Mehndi.
They chose the talented team of Creative Witty to plan and execute their festivities. Talking about their experience, they shared, “Despite planning it right smack in the middle of the Pandemic, our wedding was nothing short of amazing. Neel and Preksha’s work is top-notch and we are incredibly happy that we chose to work with them. They took our simple idea and worked their magic to create experiences for us to remember for the rest of our lives. Wedding Functions
Pre Wedding Party
The pre-wedding revelries saw elegant decor of drapes and soft blooms for a sophisticated evening soiree, hosted in the lush environs of Vrundavan Farms.
Mehndi
The vibrant Mehndi function was a splash of color! Sunny yellow drapes intersected with a canopy of colorful flags and paper lanterns to cast the liveliest ambience for a day of dancing, music and fun. Dressed in a variety of outfits all made from the same floral pink fabric, the couple and their families made for some memorable shots.
Haldi
The warmth of traditions of the Haldi function was framed beautifully by rich floral decor. Bright yellow and orange marigolds, roses and mogras painted a lovely picture against Banana leaves with floral motifs and other props tying it all together. The dress code of Bandhej perfectly suited the traditional ceremony.
Gruhshanti
Planned with the rich, artisanal theme of Patola, the Gruh Shanti was a traditional ceremony with plush floral decor and a lush outdoor venue. Marigolds ruled the decor and were present in cascades, canopies and a statement flower wall that framed a stunning portrait of Lord Krishna. Women wore patola print lehenga cholis whereas the men-folk coordinated their outfits with patola print dupattas.
Sangeet
Twinkling lights and shimmering cascades of golden tinsel set a magical milieu at the lush poolside venue for the Sangeet night. Elegant floral arrangements and a minimal metallic aesthetic created a stunning contrast. Engaging family performances, rousing music, cake-cutting and more, led the night to non-stop enjoyment.
Wedding
The Wedding was a no-holds barred celebration brimming with vibrant decor, heartfelt traditions and joyous family moments that started with an exuberant baraat! Everyone dressed in stunning traditional attire and enjoyed to their heart’s content.
