Rohan and Kshitija’s wedding at Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty was a breathtaking celebration with each event designed with purpose, emotion, and flair. Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Watermark Weddings, the festivities flowed seamlessly from cultural grandeur to modern spectacle, creating moments that were heartfelt and unforgettable.
The celebrations began with a Kerala welcome steeped in heritage. Guests were greeted by traditional Kathakali dancers, rhythmic beats, and décor inspired by the region’s timeless charm.
A burst of colour and cheer followed at the pool party, where the space transformed into a playful carnival filled with laughter, quirky installations, and a giant clown head that doubled as the DJ console—instantly becoming the highlight of the day. Every corner brimmed with fun and spontaneity. “We wanted this to be pure, unfiltered joy in visual form. A moment where guests could let loose and just celebrate,” shares Sidhesh Kandiyil from Watermark Weddings.
The Sangeet shimmered like a celestial dream, draped in twinkling lights and cosmic-inspired elements that turned the venue into a starlit wonderland. The ambience was perfectly balanced, with emotion and energy coming together to create an atmosphere of pure glamour and magic.
The entertainment night took a luxurious turn, inspired by the grandeur of Versailles. Majestic arches, candlelit details, and romantic European aesthetics set the tone for an evening that felt straight out of a royal ball — elegant, intimate, and opulent all at once.
For the wedding ceremony, the couple envisioned a sacred space that paid homage to the revered Balaji Temple. Instead of grand replication, the design reinterpreted the temple’s essence through thoughtful proportions, warm sandstone tones, and soft gold accents. During the reveal, the bride’s father stood teary-eyed and said to the planning team, “This isn’t just a wedding mandap. This is a temple, in all its glory.”
As twilight painted the sky, the varmala ceremony unfolded with a soft palette of pastels and whites set against the golden glow of sunset. The atmosphere was serene, romantic, and timeless, capturing the beauty of love in its purest form.
