Every event had a different theme and every theme had a different color palette at the Ritu and Meeraj wedding hosted at the Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort and Spa. With the décor helmed by the WeddingSutra Favorite – Nazara, each function was not just looked at from a décor perspective, but as a part of a whole narrative—designed with intent, layered with detail, and experienced as a memory.
Wedding Planning
Kriti Sarma of Nazara says about the wedding, “Each event was different—crafted to give guests a fresh experience at every celebration. Our vision was to design a journey where each function spoke its own story, yet together reflected the couple’s personality.”
Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
The first event in the multi-day function was timeless in black and white, brought alive through thoughtful personalisations—from shell-shaped quote cards and countdown notes, to bespoke stationery.
Mehendi
The mehndi had a pastel quirk theme which embraced playful elegance, with hibiscus-shaped coasters, quirky lamps, crochet flowers, custom linens, and a photo-op of floating acrylic sheets featuring the couple’s fun facts.
Sangeet
Themed, Ek Nayi Shuruaat, the sangeet unfolded in grandeur with maze-style rajnigandha entries, cascading chandeliers, and a 200-kg suspended crystal installation—an immersive play of light, fragrance, and scale.
Wedding
With a Gulabi Noor theme, the wedding celebrated romance in pastel pinks, pearl-detailed tablescapes, and a mandap aisle inspired by the lawn’s natural swirls, blending seamlessly with nature while pearls, kaleeras, and custom vow cards carried the detailing forward.
Reception
As the finale event, the Reception had to be a showstopper. Called the Scarlet Chamber, it redefined bold elegance with deep reds, moody blues, and speakeasy-inspired structures. From a pleated fabric bar layered with lace, to custom candles, prints, and sensory accents of cinnamon, chilli, and pearls—every element came together to create drama with sophistication.
