Shivani and Shail Thakkar’s wedding was a poetic celebration of love, beautifully brought to life by WeddingSutra Favorite – MH Events, who designed and planned every detail with a balance of vision and emotion. The planners curated experiences that felt less like staged décor and more like chapters unfolding from a love story.
The celebrations began with the Mehndi, which Shivani describes as the moment her dream finally began to take shape. “I didn’t want perfect décor, I wanted living poetry,” Shivani shared, and each event reflected that sentiment with elegance. Vibrant, playful, and brimming with energy, the setting felt like her own spirit. Surrounded by laughter as henna was applied, she felt her childhood dream come alive.
If the Mehndi reflected her soul, the Sangeet was where Shail’s essence shone. Designed under a canopy of stars, it became the perfect stage for his love for dance. Guests swayed beneath the twinkling lights, but it was Shail’s joy that made the evening unforgettable. “Under the canopy of our starry-night décor, he was in his element,” Shivani remembered. “His laughter, his moves, the way he drew everyone in, it was magical.”
The Haldi setting was complete with sunshine hues and a mountain-framed swing. However, what stayed with Shivani was something deeper. “My brother applied Haldi to me with my mom by my side, and suddenly it hit me. In just a breath, I was going to be married,” she said. The realisation turned the joyful ritual into a tender journey between one chapter of life and the next.
The wedding itself was the crescendo, set by the lake in an atmosphere that felt like a dream spun into reality. With their beloved fur baby, Zeus, flown in from the US to be part of the festivities and each event infused with their personalities, the wedding became a seamless fusion of love and personalised artistry. Shivani, dressed in a vibrant red lehenga, walked with her brothers along a green pathway adorned with fresh flowers and chandeliers. “Time slowed until all that existed was us, standing on the edge of forever,” Shivani said.
