Some celebrations are remembered for their grandeur, others for their intimacy. But very few are remembered for their sheer resilience. Ace makeup artist Shradha Luthra and professional footballer Nitesh Aswani’s roka in Mumbai was one such rare journey, brought to life with vision and tenacity by WeddingSutra Favorite — Kkings Events and designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – The A-Cube Project.
What began as a dream to marry against the breathtaking backdrops of Kashmir and Mussoorie transformed, through unforeseen circumstances and shifting national events, into a story of adaptation and triumph. With only 45 days in hand and two venue cancellations behind them, the families turned to Kkings Events, who shouldered the challenge with empathy and confidence. “For us, the only answer was ‘yes’. No matter how many times the plan changed, this celebration was going to happen beautifully,” shares Monil Shah of Kkings Events.
The couple’s journey began with Kashmir, where planners scouted hotels, measured venues, and even flew in décor designers to assess feasibility. But just as the plans began to take shape, they had to be abandoned. Mussoorie was the next canvas, and once again, hopes soared as the team began designing fresh layouts and immersive décor. Yet, as airports began shutting down due to international tensions, the family was forced to step back once more. It was then that Kkings Events chose not to give up. As Monil recalls, “We promised the family, this event would happen, and it will happen in a way they will always remember.” That determination led them back home to Mumbai, where, within a matter of weeks, The A-Cube Project reimagined every detail, crafting designs that transformed familiar spaces into immersive experiences, while the planners orchestrated a flawless three-part celebration.
The festivities commenced with an intimate seven-course dinner at Gallops, Mahalaxmi, where the mood was personal and elegant, punctuated with heartfelt speeches and live music. The following morning, as torrential rains lashed the city hours before the engagement, disaster seemed imminent. Décor installations collapsed, exhaustion threatened to overwhelm, yet the team stood shoulder to shoulder, rebuilding every structure. By dawn, the skies cleared, and by 9 am, the ceremony began with every detail intact, proving that perseverance can turn storms into stories. The décor, refined and radiant, framed the rituals in hues that celebrated Shradha and Nitesh’s love. The final act unfolded with a celebration that was pure joy. With vendors and guests alike dancing till dawn, it became a gleeful after-party.
For Shradha, who has spent over 15 years making brides shine, being on the other side of planning gave her a new perspective. In her words, “I could probably write an entire essay trying to summarise just how incredible Kkings Events has been, but no number of words would truly do justice to what their team brought to our celebration. From replanning our event multiple times across different cities to creating three seamless events in Mumbai within a week, they were our absolute backbone. Their warmth, responsiveness, and intuition allowed me to be fully present, stress-free, and truly enjoy my own wedding moments. Any bride and groom would be lucky to have them steering the ship.”
