A quick, easy and effective look is to stick a tapered candle in the lid of the bottle (instead of the cork) and when the candle burns, the wax will melt down the bottle creating a romantic and rustic looking candle holder.
With a little more effort and skill, you could cut the bottom off the bottle and sit it over a candle using multiple bottles with different heights candles can create an effective centrepiece to your table.

So this one takes a bit more time, skill and the correct drill piece, but if you have all of these then you can make a very unique and attractive table lamp. To do this, drill a hole in the lower side of the bottle (not in the base) and then stick a string of fairy or Christmas lights inside.
