When Priyanka and Muktesh dreamt of their wedding, they envisioned a celebration that was filled with spirituality, natural beauty and timeless grandeur—all with a touch of the mystical charm of Bali. This dream was brought to reality by the team at WeddingSutra Favorite – Design by Raja, who transformed the NEO Convention, Hyderabad, into a tropical paradise.

Wedding Planning
Kumar Raja of Design by Raja says, “This wedding was a fusion of culture and creativity, where the sacred traditions of Bali met the elegance of Indian celebrations.”
Raja adds that the design journey began with a deep exploration of Balinese culture and temple architecture. “Our team studied the sacred water temples of Bali, like Tirta Empul, and the significance of natural elements such as lotus ponds, tropical greens, and temple gateways. We didn’t just want to replicate visuals — we wanted to capture the soul of Bali, blending its spirituality with the elegance of an Indian luxury wedding. Every motif, from the carvings to the floral choices, was curated after weeks of design research, mood boards, and detailed sketches, ensuring authenticity while adapting it to a wedding stage of grand scale,” says Raja.
The Balinese experience was felt from the moment arrived at the venue. Guests were welcomed through a Balinese gateway adorned with temple-inspired detailing, tropical florals, and traditional lanterns, setting the tone for an immersive journey.

Every element of the ceiling décor and lighting was tended to with meticulousness. Crystal birds and sparkling hangings recreated the magic of Balinese skies, while warm golden lights enveloped the venue in a surreal, divine glow. Orchids, lotuses, and exotic tropical leaves were used generously, symbolizing purity, prosperity, and abundance — every detail echoing the spirit of Bali.

The highlight was the mandap. At the heart of the setup was a majestic temple-style mandap that stood tall, surrounded by a serene water body that reflected the sacred union. Lush tropical greens, lotus-inspired installations, and intricate patterns gave the feeling of a divine sanctuary. For the couple and their families, it was not just décor, but a memory etched forever in their hearts.
